Mrs. Julie Kohl To All Instructors
I have a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education with middle school endorsements in math and language arts from Western Illinois University. I also have a Master’s Degree in school administration from Concordia University. I have taught math, in some capacity, for kindergarten-eighth grade level students for nineteen years. I was the math and science gifted coordinator in the Huntley school district before having my first child, Mollianne. I stayed home after having her, but continue to work for the Center for Gifted, a Northern Illinois University partner, teaching math and science over the summers, for weeks at a time. I also work for Northwestern University in their Center For Talent and Development program teaching math or science during the summer, on the weekends, as my schedule allows.
I am married to my best friend, Nathan and we have two precious girls Mollianne and Emma Jane. We have always homeschooled our girls. We homeschool so that Jesus Christ is at the center of homeschool as well as the rest of our lives. Homeschooling is a lifestyle. We love the flexibility and the ability to teach to the interest of our kids and to work at their pace. Our family has been a part of Heritage for a couple of years and we love the Christ-centered environment Heritage holds. We have felt loved and cared for since we started attending Heritage. I consider it a privilege to partner with you in teaching your children math. Our girls look forward to their Heritage classes every Monday. It is my hope that your children look forward to it too!
